South Wales property professionals, Seel & Co are proving their worth to anyone selling property at auction by consistently achieving over-estimate sales for clients.
Since launching in 2000, its experienced property auction team has disposed of more than a quarter of a billion pounds worth of residential and commercial assets across Wales.
They currently have a sales conversion rate of 83% for the past two years, making them a safe pair of hands for anyone wishing to sell a property through auction.
They also recently made the single largest property sale at auction ever recorded in Wales, with the sale of ‘The Rise’ in Cardiff for more than £1million over its guide price.
The property, sold for Cardiff Council, is an iconic, late 19th century, private residence on Penhill Road, on the edge of Llandaff fields, in the capital’s sought after leafy suburb of Pontcanna.
The Rise has more recently been used by Cardiff as office accommodation and was brought to auction with a guide price of £595,000+, but sold for £1.6million, making it the single largest sale at a Welsh property auction on record.
The previous record was also held by Seel & Co at £930,000, when they were instructed by Cardiff Council to dispose of a former youth hostel on Wedal Road in Roath Park in March 2016. This was set at a guide price of £350,000.
Marc Morrish, head of auctions and auctioneer at Seel & Co, said: “We expected The Rise to be popular with investors but were delighted for our client, Cardiff Council, when it reached such a high sale price.
“We pride ourselves on always going that extra mile for clients, however big or small their venture is. Whether clients are familiar with auctions or a first time seller, we always use our expert knowledge and guidance to ensure we achieve the very best results that we can for them.
“With auction becoming ever more popular as a way to buy and sell property, we represent a wide range of private individuals, advisors and public sector clients.”
